I am Sue and I am the founder of The Modern Mom & Baby, along with my 3 year-old daughter Kashe. Being in an ever changing world, looking for high-quality, gender neutral, and developmental essentials for toddlers can be difficult to find. With my baby's needs in one hand, and my educational knowledge in the other, Kashe & I have created a beautiful collection together. All of our products are thoughtfully hand-picked and designed by me to meet the expectations of educators, parents and their babes.
O U R | S T O R Y
With 10+ years in the childcare field, I have had the opportunity early on in my life to work with organizations such as Make A Wish Foundation and Big Brothers & Sisters Club. After graduating college and holding a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, I headed straight into my teaching career, where I worked in both public and private school districts. I also served as a NCS (Newborn Care Specialist) to many new families helping to transition their babies to their new home, and having them peacefully sleep through the night by 3 months old.
Being in various educational fields my entire career, and becoming a first-time mom, I decided to combine both passions into one. I opened my own daycare/preschool mid-pandemic, where I was able to serve the community and provide support for my daughter. With innovative teaching practices and a self-created curriculum, I have quickly become well-known for promoting early education, and qualifying certain students for John Hopkins Center of Talented Youth & Mensa by the age of 5, including my own daughter who has been recognized nationally as the youngest member of Mensa.
Here at The Modern Mom & Baby, my mission is to create items that have been thoughtfully created from an educator and mother's perspective to deliver to parents just like you! Our collection is made with every baby and toddler in mind, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
